The Illinois League Grant Program and the Illinois League of Financial Institutions are pleased to announce 2011 grant funds for eligible borrowers. Take advantage of this incredible program and get into your new home today.

Program Highlights

  • Grants up to $10,000 per household
  • Grant uses include down payment and closing cost assistance, along with homebuyer counseling
  • The Downpayment Plus Program (DPP) grants are forgiven over a period of five years

  • Sangamon County

Income eligibility criteria may change annually:

  • 1 Persons - $37,350
  • 2 Persons - $42,650
  • 3 Persons - $48,000
  • 4 Persons - $53,300

Additional Information

  • Homebuyer counseling is required [no cost to homebuyer]
  • Do not have to be a first time homebuyer to qualify
  • Must have $1,000 of own funds to receive grant
  • Additional amount of own funds may be required depending on the type of loan requested
  • No cash back at closing
